Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Job Summary:

Devonshire is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team in Wymondham, Norfolk. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods and materials within our warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Loading and Unloading Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles and stack empty pallets in a secure and organized manner.
  2. Inventory Management: Move stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility, following stock control instructions and checking loads are secure.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily equipment checks, including recharging the truck's battery and helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary.
  4. Warehouse Operations: Assist with picking stock and moving it to the appropriate location on the factory floor, as well as dealing with stock returns.
  5. Waste Management: Collect full bins and move them to the goods yard for disposal, including bailing shredded paper waste or compacting.

Requirements:

  • Previous Warehouse Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment, with a focus on inventory management and logistics.
  • Counterbalance Licence: A valid counterbalance licence is required for this role.
  • IT Literacy: Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and other warehouse management software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22KG.

Working Hours:

Night Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday, 23:00-07:00, with 2 x 30-minute breaks daily.
