Role: Youth Support Specialist - Mental HealthThis role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will provide tailored support and guidance to individuals navigating mental health challenges within the context of County Lines activity.
Your Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive support and interventions to a designated caseload of young people and their families involved in County Lines activity. This includes conducting thorough assessments, developing care plans, and implementing risk management strategies.
- Continuously assess and manage risks associated with your caseload, escalating concerns through established safeguarding procedures when necessary. Adapt your case management approach to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each individual.
- Ensure that all service users' diverse needs and aspirations are considered in service planning and delivery. Empower young people to reach their full potential by providing tailored support and guidance.
- Collaborate effectively with local partner organizations and relevant agencies to facilitate seamless referrals, care coordination, and risk management for young people.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A proven ability to manage conflicting demands effectively, demonstrating a problem-solving mindset and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data collation.
- Experience working with young people and professionals in both group and one-to-one settings.
- A deep understanding of risk assessments, engagement strategies, and intervention techniques, particularly within the context of supporting young people with complex needs.
This role requires access to a car and a full current driving licence.
