Position Overview

Role: Maintenance Technician
Industry: Food Production
Work Schedule: 4 on, 4 off (2 days followed by 2 nights), 12-hour shifts (with optional overtime)

As a Maintenance Technician, you will become a vital member of the Engineering team at The Sterling Choice, a well-established and forward-thinking food production company.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of machinery, thereby facilitating efficient production processes.

We are on a transformative journey to establish a world-class Engineering team, and your contributions will be essential in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on various machinery and equipment.
  • Minimize downtime through effective fault diagnosis and resolution in a dynamic and large-scale production environment.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist with project work, including the integration of new machinery and equipment as required.
Qualifications

Experience as a Maintenance Technician (NVQ or equivalent) is essential. While prior experience in food production or FMCG environments is preferred, it is not mandatory.

A solid understanding of electrical systems, including rewiring and fault finding, is required.
