The role of Senior Research Delivery Administrator is essential to our research workforce, providing crucial support for the execution of high-caliber research initiatives. We seek a seasoned research delivery administrator to assist in managing and enhancing our extensive portfolio of NIHR research projects.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of three years' experience in an administrative capacity, including at least one year in a research delivery role within the NHS. Experience in a fast-paced environment, interacting with the public, and performing under pressure is vital. Strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a flexible, enthusiastic approach are also critical for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to deliver efficient and dependable administrative support to the research delivery team, ensuring that research projects are conducted safely, effectively, and in a timely manner. Responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of research studies across various specialties.

Given the dynamic nature of research and the potential for changes in study demands or staffing levels, the post-holder may be required to provide support across different specialties and locations as necessary. The role involves facilitating the seamless initiation and daily management of research studies, collaborating closely with the research team.

Key tasks include:

  • Timely collection, coordination, and submission of data
  • Completion of national and local regulatory documentation
  • Maintenance of a clear audit trail in accordance with national legislation and local policies
  • Development of knowledge regarding multiple research studies across the Trust
  • Effective communication of the research program and strategy to multidisciplinary staff
