Job Title: Advanced Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacist with experience in mental health to further develop their skills and knowledge in the specialist area. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to the Community Rehabilitation Enhanced Support Team (CREST).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to CREST, ensuring safe, clinically effective, and cost-efficient use of drugs.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop understanding of the needs of patients with complex psychosis in the CREST service.
  • Ensure best practice in medicines optimisation and deliver on clinical advice and audit.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy advice on the management of patients with mental illness to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.
  • Deliver education and training on mental health pharmaceutical issues to various health and social care professionals.
About the Role:

This is a part-time role (up to days per week) based at London House, Bracknell, with opportunities for working from home. The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health hospital pharmacy or community mental health teams/services, be self-motivated, confident, and able to navigate conflicting work priorities.

Requirements:
  • Good Pharmacy Honours degree (BPharm or MPharm)
  • Clinical or psychiatric postgraduate certificate
  • Clinical or psychiatric postgraduate diploma (Psychiatric preferred)
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
