Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Triage, assessment, and formulation of young people presenting to CAMHS.
  • Consultation with professionals making referrals to the service.
  • Undertaking telephone assessments of young people referred to the service.
  • Undertaking face-to-face assessments of young people referred to the service.
  • Working flexibly across multiple sites.
  • Taking part in the review of clinical records.
  • Reviewing data to support the management of waiting lists.
  • Working within a team of skilled CAMHS clinicians.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, working with children and young people who require mental health support. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support, working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (NMC) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting.
  • Ability to assess and formulate complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
