Job Summary: We are seeking a Fire and Security Systems Technician Apprentice to join our team. As a Fire and Security Systems Technician Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive training program to learn the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic systems, including fire detection, security alarms, emergency lighting, access control, and CCTV for prestigious commercial customers in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Plan, and Install Fire Emergency and Security Systems: You will design, plan, and install fire emergency and security systems in commercial properties, ensuring they meet professional industry standards.
  • Conduct Testing, Commissioning, and Handover: You will conduct testing, commissioning, and handover of installed systems, ensuring they meet professional industry standards.
  • Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair system components as needed.
  • Provide Professional Customer Service: You will provide professional customer service, maintaining a presentable and respectful demeanor while working in diverse environments.
  • Work Independently or as Part of a Team: You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure systems are installed and maintained efficiently and safely.

Requirements:

  • GCSE Pass in Maths and English: You must have a GCSE pass in Maths and English.
  • Clean Driving License and Access to a Vehicle: You must have a clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong Interest in the Fire Emergency and Security Industry: You must have a strong interest in the fire emergency and security industry.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and Attention to Detail: You must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Training and Development: Throughout the apprenticeship, you will receive blended training, including block classroom-based sessions and practical shadowing with our current engineers. You will have the opportunity to earn an ECS card and progress towards achieving EngTech registration by the Engineering Council.

Progress Reviews: Regular progress reviews will be conducted every 12 weeks involving yourself, a Trinity representative, and training provider to ensure that the delivery of training meets the needs of both parties.
