Glasgow Kelvin College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HE Lecturer in Education to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality learning and teaching experiences to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Assessment: You will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment materials, as well as supporting learners in their academic journey.
- Quality and Standards: You will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality educational programs, ensuring that they meet the needs of our students and the College's strategic objectives.
- Continuing Professional Development: You will engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and contribute to the College's commitment to excellence in education.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A relevant Art & Design discipline qualification at SCQF Level 8 or equivalent
- Significant relevant experience in the specialist area, or an appropriate vocational alternative
- Demonstrable knowledge of Further Education in Scotland, National priorities for education, and local skills priorities
- Expertise in traditional fine art practices, digital art & design, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Ability to provide engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning and assessment opportunities
- Contribution to curriculum development and effective relationships with stakeholders
