Position Overview

In the capacity of Chief Engineering Officer, you will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, tasked with shaping and supervising the technical strategy for all engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with our corporate objectives. In this dynamic and multifaceted environment, your expertise in software design, architecture, development, testing, and deployment will be crucial.

As a senior leader, you will play a vital role in strategic business decisions while actively contributing to the execution of all technical projects. The ideal candidate will lead proactively, employing innovative thinking to devise optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Development: You will leverage your experience in rapidly scaling and managing engineering teams.
  2. Hands-On Leadership: Demonstrate your ability to write efficient and maintainable code, showcasing software development techniques and methods to deliver new solutions, while designing robust and stable architectures using Microservices.
  3. Collaborative Strategy: As part of the executive team, you and your technology leaders will enhance our technology roadmap to evolve our product offerings.
  4. Organizational Skills: Exhibit self-organization, collaboration, and effective management of efforts across various teams and geographical locations.
  5. Strategic Management: Oversee the technological functions of the organization and client strategies, including consulting, project planning, implementation management, and cross-team communication.
  6. Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify challenges or opportunities, take ownership, and initiate action.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 8 years of leadership experience, preferably with a background in software engineering focused on C#/.NET, managing teams of 30 or more engineers.
  • Experience in the FinTech sector is essential, with a preference for backgrounds in Exchange, Brokerage, or Trading.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microservice architecture.
  • Proven ability to design high-performance, high-concurrency, highly available, and scalable systems independently.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities in both large and start-up/scale-up environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at thriving in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere.
  • A degree at the BSc level or higher is preferred.
