English Teacher Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a Good Ofsted rated Secondary School in Chestnut. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff to achieve academic excellence.
  • Maintain a well-organized and professional classroom environment.
  • Comply with the school's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English at Secondary level.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
