English Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher with a passion for English and a desire to instill that passion in students. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English Language and English Literature curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and maintain a well-structured classroom environment and associated resources.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
  • Assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them progress.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Comply with the school's policies and implement them reliably.

English Teacher Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching English at Secondary level.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
