English Teacher Opportunity for Skelmersdale SEN School

We are seeking an experienced English teacher to join our team at a Skelmersdale SEN secondary school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English and a commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to students with varying abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student success
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • QTS and up-to-date DBS on the update service or willingness to undertake a full and enhanced DBS check
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and SEN policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
