Role Description

The Trading Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for delivering value to our clients by leveraging relationships with media partners across all media types. This role requires a strong understanding of the UK media market and the ability to navigate it effectively. The Trading Manager will work closely with the Director of UK Trading, media managers, and associates to achieve business goals and cultivate a culture of inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with media owners at junior to mid-level, with the capability to handle senior people as required.
  • Monitoring and tracking deals, collaborating with the day-to-day team to identify opportunities.
  • Regular meetings with the day-to-day team to provide feedback and insights to the Director of UK Trading.
  • Understanding client targets in relation to our media banks and developing strategies to meet those targets.
  • Supporting the Director of UK Trading in the deal process from start to finish, including deal renewals.
  • Working closely with the legal team to implement media partner contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborating with our performance agency, Kinesso, on digital deals and developing innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with media owners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to manage multiple deals and track performance metrics.
  • A good understanding of the UK media market and the ability to develop knowledge further to navigate the market effectively.
  • A supportive team player with the ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of the digital media space and the ability to develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in media trading or buying, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.
