Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) - CNS to deliver a comprehensive, non-promotional scientific service to healthcare professionals. This role requires maintaining a robust understanding of medical, scientific, and technical knowledge in the CNS and migraine therapy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on the CNS (Central Nervous System) and migraine therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice and MHRA regulations.
  • Develop and sustain a current understanding of disease areas, products, and therapeutic knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clinicians, decision-makers, and academic institutions.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the NHS structure and operations.
  • Create and update scientific presentations as needed.
  • Contribute to the formulary process by providing relevant scientific data.
  • Identify and address educational needs within the medical community.
  • Support Medical Information in responding to inquiries.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape, ongoing clinical research, and relevant publications.
  • Collaborate effectively with Medical Information and Marketing teams.
  • Attend and present at national and international congresses as required.
  • Provide training on therapy areas and products to both field and office-based staff.
  • Review promotional and educational materials for compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop and train expert speakers and faculty members, supporting medical congress activities.
  • Work with clinical investigators on the approval of investigative studies.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree or higher qualification (e.g., PhD) in a relevant scientific or medical field.
  • Proven track record as a medical science liaison or in a similar field-based role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience and knowledge in the CNS or migraine therapy area is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and project management.
