Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) specializing in CNS to deliver a comprehensive, non-promotional scientific service to healthcare professionals. This role requires maintaining a robust level of medical, scientific, and technical expertise within the CNS and migraine therapy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the CNS (Central Nervous System) and migraine therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice and MHRA regulations.
  • Develop and sustain up-to-date knowledge of disease areas, products, and therapies.
  • Provide scientific and technical support while fostering professional relationships with clinicians and decision-makers.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the NHS structure and operations.
  • Create and update scientific presentations as needed.
  • Contribute to the formulary process by supplying relevant scientific data.
  • Identify and address educational needs within the medical community.
  • Support Medical Information in responding to inquiries.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape, ongoing clinical research, and publications.
  • Collaborate effectively with Medical Information and Marketing teams.
  • Participate in national and international congresses, sharing insights internally and externally.
  • Deliver training on therapy areas and products to both field and office-based personnel.
  • Review promotional and educational materials for compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop and mentor expert speakers and faculty members, supporting medical congress activities.
  • Engage with clinical investigators and navigate internal approval processes for investigative studies.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree or higher (e.g., PhD) in a relevant scientific or medical discipline.
  • Proven track record as a medical scientific liaison or in a related field-based role within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience and knowledge in the CNS or migraine therapy area is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and data analysis skills.
