Job Summary
Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison Officer - CNS to provide scientific support to healthcare professionals and maintain a high level of medical, scientific, and technical knowledge in the CNS/Migraine therapy area.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice, MHRA regulations, and Teva internal processes and procedures pertaining to Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory legislation.
- Build and maintain scientifically current disease area, product, and therapy knowledge.
- Provide scientific and technical support for, and maintain, credible, professional relations with clinicians, local decision-makers, external experts, and academic centers.
- Produce and update scientific presentations.
- Input into the formulary process through provision of the appropriate scientific data.
- Identify and address medical educational activities relating to disease area needs.
- Provide scientific support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of the competitive environment, ongoing clinical research, and publications.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with both Medical Information and the Marketing department.
- Provide therapy area and product-specific training to field-based and office-based non-scientific personnel.
- Respond to unsolicited medical requests from healthcare professionals in line with the ABPI Code of Practice and company policies.
- Develop and educate expert speakers and faculty members, and support medical congress/meeting activities.
Requirements
- Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. PhD) in a relevant scientific/medical area.
- Evidence of a successful career as a medical scientific liaison or other relevant field-based role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience of working in and detailed knowledge of the CNS or migraine therapy area would be an advantage.
- Solid data analysis and project management skills.
- Willing to travel widely to cover the assigned territory.
- Able to stay overnight away from home and to travel internationally as the business demands.
