Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) - CNS to deliver a comprehensive, non-promotional scientific service to healthcare professionals. This role requires maintaining a high level of medical, scientific, and technical expertise in the CNS and migraine therapy areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on the CNS (Central Nervous System) and migraine therapeutic areas.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including the ABPI Code of Practice and MHRA regulations.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of disease areas, products, and therapies.
- Provide scientific and technical support while fostering professional relationships with clinicians and decision-makers.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the NHS structure and operations.
- Create and update scientific presentations.
- Contribute to the formulary process by providing relevant scientific data.
- Identify and address educational needs in the medical community.
- Support Medical Information in responding to inquiries.
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape and ongoing clinical research.
- Collaborate effectively with Medical Information and Marketing teams.
- Attend and disseminate information from national and international congresses.
- Deliver therapy area and product-specific training to both field and office-based personnel.
- Review promotional and educational materials for compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in accordance with company policies.
- Develop expert speakers and support medical congress activities.
- Engage with clinical investigators for the approval of investigative studies.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A pharmacy degree or higher qualification (e.g., PhD) in a relevant scientific or medical field.
- A proven track record as a medical science liaison or in a similar field-based role within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Experience and knowledge in the CNS or migraine therapy area is advantageous.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Solid analytical and project management skills.
