Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Record and match supplier invoices with purchase orders, maintaining accurate records and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements with accounts payable ledger, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Process expense claims, ensuring timely payment and accurate recording.
  • Prepare and submit weekly supplier and expense payment reports.
  • Ensure timely payment of supplier invoices and expense claims.
  • Track and analyze creditor information, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Create customer estimates and quotes as required.
  • Conduct credit checks on potential customers.
  • Raise and process customer invoices.
  • Track and receive incoming payments, applying them to customer accounts.
  • Produce reports on overdue accounts, providing insights to the sales team.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and accounts payable and receivable principles.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Immediate availability.
