Underwriting Assistant Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our Property and Casualty division at Get-Recruited (UK) Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to develop their skills and knowledge in commercial insurance underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients, providing timely and accurate underwriting decisions.
- Learn and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Process a variety of work, including policy administration, claims handling, and risk assessment.
- Support underwriters in the development of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
- Pursue ongoing learning and self-development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in insurance, preferably within the Property and Casualty sector.
- Exposure to commercial insurance is essential, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with a confident and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Minimum C grade in Math and English at GCSE level; A-Levels preferred.
