Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Commercial and Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Liberty Specialty Markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with brokers, clients, and business partners to renew and acquire new business for the portfolio.
About the Team: Our Casualty insurance team offers a broad range of liability products to commercial clients in the UK, Europe, and MENA region. The primary portfolio focuses on the large corporate sector/medium multinational clients and internationally domiciled business via dedicated teams in our London, European, and Dubai offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge of market dynamics and market cycles to support the performance of the underwriting team.
- Support the review and analysis of the portfolio, to identify progress towards business objectives.
- Work with the operations team to process entries, as required, properly onto relevant systems in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy of data with relation to both underwriting and aggregate exposures.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and demonstrate behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy.
- Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Working towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualification(s) preferred.
- A level understanding of relevant software including Excel and other software packages.
