Insurance Underwriter Assistant

Lancashire Insurance Group is seeking a skilled Assistant Commercial and Insurance Underwriter to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwriting Risk Assessment: Accurately record and assess underwriting risk information as directed by underwriters.
- Risk Data Entry: Transfer risk information to pricing models and enter risks on Open Box or other underwriting systems.
- Validation and Record-Keeping: Validate risk information and maintain accurate records of underwriting data using internal and external software systems.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist with statistical analysis of the portfolio and produce regular and ad hoc business reports.
- Communication and Liaison: Investigate queries from underwriters, operations, finance, and legal, and liaise with brokers to resolve issues.
- Professional Development: Build knowledge of wording, technical understanding, market environments, and risk analysis capabilities.
- Project Support: Assist with ad hoc projects and research work, including portfolio analysis and internal/external presentations.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
