About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant Assistant to join our team at Paradigm Housing Group. As a key member of our Financial Accounting team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Management Accountant in the provision of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the Financial Accounting team with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Drive Value for Money initiatives across the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Complete monthly journals with proper supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the production of management accounts, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Support the Financial Accounting team with the annual production of financial statements, including reconciliation and schedules for external auditors.
  • Prepare full cycle of transactions for the HOME foundation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Monitor and correct transactions, ensuring they are properly coded and accounted for.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the Management Accountant.
Requirements
  • Applied experience in management accounting, with strong technical competence and experience in financial and management reporting.
  • Partial qualification of a professional body (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA) and actively pursuing full qualifications.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel skills and analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of current accounting practices and best practice standards within the sector.
  • Experience in using SUN system and Q&A preferred.
  • Experience in the social housing sector preferred.
