We are seeking driven and proactive Senior Commercial Managers to enhance our Site Delivery team, particularly for major projects and Civil Engineering initiatives. Candidates should possess a solid background in FIDIC and NEC 3&4 contract frameworks, along with a comprehensive understanding of UK legislation and its implications for commercial practices.

As a Senior Commercial Manager, your contributions will be essential in assisting the Programme Delivery teams by upholding the highest standards of Commercial Management.

Key Responsibilities

Implementing all Principal Accountabilities for the contract commercial team in line with established commercial protocols. Overseeing a significant scope of work in the management of contracts and claims associated with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts. Cultivating and managing commercial relationships related to contracts. Providing comprehensive reporting and support to a Senior Commercial Manager or Supply Chain Lead. Administering commercial management of contracts throughout the execution phase to optimize operational and financial outcomes while mitigating commercial risks. Facilitating the delivery of contract final account agreements and ensuring effective closure of all Project Contracts, while documenting and learning from commercial experiences. Ensuring contract delivery adheres to governance standards, consistently operating within the Integrated Management System (IMS) guidelines to guarantee contracts are managed within the designated authority and overall governance framework.

Required Skills

A strong grasp of procurement processes, contract performance evaluation, risk management, and claims management. Ability to collaborate across various disciplines to develop, implement, and execute commercial strategies and contractual agreements. A strategic mindset is essential for devising and executing innovative commercial delivery approaches that benefit the project. Membership in RICS / CICES / IOB / CIPS or a similar professional organization is advantageous. If you align with these qualifications, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
