About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at EDF, a leading energy company. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our projects, ensuring that we achieve our business objectives while maintaining a strong commercial focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial and contract management of our delivery programmes, ensuring that we achieve optimal results from a cost, delivery, and quality perspective.
  • Support procurement processes, including contract drafting and negotiations, to ensure that we secure the best possible deals for our business.
  • Administer contracts through their lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award phases, utilizing our contract management tool.
  • Ensure adherence to our governance, processes, and procedures, maintaining a high level of commercial acumen and expertise.
  • Foster high-performing supplier relationship management, promoting a collaborative culture and driving business growth.
  • Transfer key operational expertise from our existing projects to our new initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition and minimizing risks.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in successful contract administration, with a strong commercial and contract management background.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and procurement processes, with a deep understanding of commercial principles and practices.
  • Desirable: Experience with FIDIC contracts, professional chartership (RICS, MCIPS), and a strong understanding of the energy industry.
