Clinical Nurse Specialist

Position Overview
As a vital member of a collaborative healthcare team, you will be entrusted with evaluating patient care requirements and formulating comprehensive care plans. Your role will also encompass the execution and assessment of these plans, ensuring that patients receive exemplary care.
You will be expected to perform all necessary care tasks independently. Additionally, you may need to instruct and oversee both registered and unregistered personnel, including nursing students.
Responsibilities may differ based on the specific unit or department and the level of patient care required
The individual in this role will lead, coordinate, and oversee the activities of other staff members within the unit or department, fostering best practices in patient care. In the absence of the senior charge nurse or team leader, you will assume responsibility to maintain the effective functioning of the unit.

Qualifications and Skills Required
- Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent time management abilities
- Basic proficiency in information technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of professional development post-registration
- Training in infection control
- Experience in an acute care environment or medical admissions
- Familiarity with best practice guidelines and organizational policies
- Skills in cannulation, phlebotomy, and advanced assessment
- Competence in intravenous drug administration and venepuncture
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
Employment Details
This is a full-time, fixed-term position.

The role will be situated within a designated healthcare unit, with a rotational working schedule.
