Our client, a leading independent hearing care provider, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Manager to join their successful and friendly team. The role is full-time and based in a dynamic office environment, with the opportunity to work from home one to two days per week.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will provide a confidential and compliant finance function for the company and its directors, ensuring adherence to FCA regulation and compliance. They will also consult with external accountants and be responsible for one team member, the Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update the HR system with employee records for payroll management purposes.
  • Manage the company's financial activities and responsibilities, including partial exemption and VAT Returns.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to produce clinic budget forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly management information, including variances against forecast.
  • Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate salary updates.
  • Monitor and control hotel bookings and expenditure for staff.
  • Prepare year-end packs for accountants for all entities.
  • Ensure FCA compliance by completing regulatory forms annually.
  • Complete valuation forms for each branch for HMRC purposes.
