Job Title: Payroll Assistant

Watergate Bay Hotel is seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our payroll department and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare payroll payments from HR Timecards, absence information, and other static information sent to payroll.
  • Add information to be paid via PDS Sheets within the HR system before sending it to our payroll processor.
  • Review, verify, and reconcile exceptions and clocking's on the time and attendance system.
  • Check payroll reports for team payments and raise queries or concerns on errors.
  • Ensure payrolls are signed off and sent for finalisation to raise payments.
  • Create, update, maintain, secure, and archive all employee payroll records/files.
  • Prepare and process employee wages, deductions, and other amendments into PDE grids or respective employee records.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Administrator to streamline payroll processes and minimize errors.
  • Act as a second point of contact with system specialists to resolve queries.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in Payroll.
  • Experience of using accounting systems (Sage preferred).
  • Organised and structured to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Able to work well with other team members and independently.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Flexible and able to prioritise tasks to achieve Company goals.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines with a positive attitude.
  • Willing to suggest new ideas and improve processes.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel user.
