**Job summary**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst to join a new training department within the Maritime Data Assessment Centre (MDAC), which is part of the Defence Intelligence organisation, supporting key MOD operational outputs within the Southwest.

This role is highly suited for an individual with acoustics, analytical and training experience that could make a difference to the way in which intelligence analysis is delivered within this specialist field.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
You will be joining a small training team who will be required to design, deliver, and update course content, utilising a custom training platform to analyse data. You will contribute towards the delivery of a specialist training programme with distinct functional areas that will cover specific training requirements within MDAC.

**Responsibilities**

You will be required to work within a defined timetable to deliver training courses as directed by the Head of Training.

You will be responsible for updating PowerPoint presentations, course instruction notes and ‘On-the-job’ training aids in line with policy changes, security caveats, Joint Service Publications, and other-directed changes.

You will feedback on courses held and aid development of course content, training material and planning for future courses.

You will assist in construction of exam material and form part of an assessment team that will conduct regular evaluations of individual or team(s) performance and ensure that results are accurately recorded and, highlight when additional training is required.

You will be required to work within the shift teams, filling a role at your highest qualified position once every 3 months, to maintain your overall proficiency on the watch floor - Day shift cover.

You will be required to qualify as a Senior Analyst. For applicants not already qualified, there is the requirement to become qualified as MOD Defence Trainer within the first six months of employment.

**Person specification**:

- Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong Organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to work independently, showing judgement on when to consult.

**Qualifications**:

- You will be required to qualify as a Senior Analyst. For applicants not already qualified, there is the requirement to become qualified as MOD Defence Trainer within the first six months of employment.**Behaviours**:
