Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in the Rochester area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical project engineering and experience working on projects within the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with project management and coordination
  • Develop and implement project plans and schedules
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Collaborate with site management to ensure design and procurement are aligned with project requirements
  • Prepare and review construction completion and take-over documentation
  • Coordinate technical aspects of the project
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as necessary
  • Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to develop cost plans and manage project finances
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project engineering, preferably in the water industry
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contract forms and experience in delivering projects using this form of contract
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline
  • APMP or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Previous experience in water treatment (non-infrastructure) and mechanical project engineering is preferred
