Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer to join our team at Verto People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites covering The Midlands and parts of the North UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  2. Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and downstream products.
  3. Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
  4. Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  5. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems, ideally compressed air related products.
  2. Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar with compressed air experience.
  3. Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  4. Service experience in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in refrigeration with FGas certification, air filtration, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, or similar associated compressor products.
  5. A technical engineering degree or apprentice trained would be advantageous.
  6. Willingness to travel and cover the Midlands and parts of the North UK.

Package: £36,000 - £40,000 (OTE £55,000 +) depending on experience, company van, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, overtime, and additional benefits.
