Company Overview

Resideo is seeking a dedicated Product Category Manager to enhance our operations in the Intrusion product sector. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction, supplier partnerships, and profitability of our expanding product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating strategic initiatives for the Intrusion product category, including growth strategies and promotional activities to meet financial targets.
  • Overseeing comprehensive vendor relationships, which encompass supplier identification, contract negotiations, product selection, marketing initiatives, and effective communication.
  • Ensuring profitable growth of the product category in alignment with gross margin objectives while managing working capital and inventory requirements.
  • Collaborating with the leadership team to communicate new opportunities, product introductions, and resolve any transactional challenges.
  • Partnering with suppliers and internal teams to facilitate impactful product marketing and sales efforts.
  • Designing and implementing product mix, inventory, and pricing strategies informed by historical data, market trends, and customer purchasing behaviors.
  • Acting as the product expert to support the rollout of a new ERP system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a product/category manager in retail, e-commerce, distribution, or a related field.
  • Strong background in product marketing and category management.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and direction.
  • Capability to assist field sales with pricing strategies, inventory management, vendor relations, and product-related issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in developing tactical and strategic category roadmaps, including annual and long-term planning.
  • Proficiency in enhancing inventory management processes, including forecasting and managing surplus stock.
  • Expertise in creating and executing integrated growth programs across various sub-categories, utilizing data analysis to target customer segments effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to foster relationships with diverse groups.
  • High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
