Resideo is seeking a skilled Product Category Manager to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in shaping the strategy, roadmap, and supplier partnerships for a rapidly expanding range of Intrusion products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and implementing product assortment and pricing strategies while fostering and managing supplier relationships.

This position is ideal for an individual with a deep understanding of the UK Security sector, capable of translating strategic objectives into tangible sales growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop strategic initiatives for the Intrusion product category, including growth strategies and promotional activities to meet financial targets. Oversee comprehensive vendor management, including supplier identification, contract negotiations, product selection, marketing initiatives, and communication strategies. Drive profitable growth within the product category, aligning with gross margin expectations while managing inventory and surplus requirements. Collaborate with the Resideo leadership team to communicate new opportunities, product introductions, and resolve any transactional challenges. Partner with suppliers and internal teams in marketing, sales, and procurement to ensure effective promotion and sales of the product category. Formulate and execute strategies for product mix, inventory management, and pricing based on market data, trends, and consumer behavior. Act as the product authority and subject matter expert during the implementation of new ERP systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a product/category manager in retail, e-commerce, distribution, or a related field. Background in product marketing and category management. Strong capability to provide strategic leadership and direction. Experience supporting sales teams with pricing strategies, inventory management, vendor relations, and product-related issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expertise in developing tactical and strategic category roadmaps and detailed planning, including annual and long-term objectives. Proficiency in enhancing inventory management processes, including SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning), forecasting, and surplus management. Experience in creating and executing integrated growth strategies across various sub-categories, utilizing data analysis to target customer segments effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports and interpret data; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse groups. High level of critical thinking abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
