About Resideo

Resideo, a leading global provider of security and home automation solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our category management team, you will play a critical role in driving the strategy, product roadmap, and supplier relationships for a high-value category of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Category Manager to develop and execute effective marketing communications that drive category performance.
  • Initiate requests to execute changes to the ERP system for changes to the stocking profile, product lifecycle, cost pricing, and ensure necessary inventory actions to remove obsolete stock.
  • Research competitive product offerings, market pricing, and industry technology trends by working cross-functionally with Strategic Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Customers, and Vendors.
  • Initiate stock balancing requests for IOS (Inactive, Obsolete, and Surplus) products and execute inventory liquidation strategies for related categories.
  • Generate sales reporting, promotional effectiveness, inventory effectiveness, and gross margin reporting for related categories.
  • Perform administrative duties and ad-hoc requests as assigned.
  • Liaise with the sales function to understand market trends and customer needs.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in Marketing/Business or 2+ years' work experience in a product/category management, product marketing, buying, or vendor management role.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • A willingness to travel.
  • An eagerness to learn and grow within an organization.
