Job Title: Senior Pharmacist - Post-Acute Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pharmacist to join our Post-Acute Medicine team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering a high-quality clinical service to post-acute medical and stroke wards. This will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide pharmaceutical care and medicines management services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision of clinical pharmacy services to post-acute medical and stroke wards
  • Develop and implement local guidelines for pharmaceutical care
  • Assist in financial reporting and drug budget management
  • Ensure seamless pharmaceutical care on discharge, liaising with other pharmacists and healthcare professionals
  • Work with the Principal Pharmacist to extend the boundaries of professional practice
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • MPharm (Masters Degree)
  • Registered Pharmacist (1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy
  • Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete
  • Member of the RPS faculty
