About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Data team at Laing O'Rourke. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting data requirements for our Clients & Markets team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of business opportunity data from our construction and business activities across various data capture methods.
  • Support the C&M function in understanding the drivers behind finance and work winning opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain use cases to meet business objectives, working closely with implementation teams to ensure necessary data is tracked internally.
  • Analyse datasets using a combination of tools, including SQL, PowerBI, and PowerApps.
  • Produce and communicate insights relating to sustainability performance.
  • Agree KPIs for measuring performance and establish appropriate reporting at a corporate and project level.
  • Participate in strategic discussions and make recommendations based on insights uncovered.
  • Work closely with C&M stakeholders to analyse and present data that drives business decisions.
  • Adhere to and contribute to standards and best practices with the central data & analytics team.
  • Maintain and develop Power BI dashboards measuring Sustainability KPIs.
Essential Technical Skills and Experience
  • Strong data visualisation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  • Engineering / Computer Science / Statistics Degree with Masters Preferred or equivalent experience / Finance or Accounting.
