The Campaigns Coordinator role offers a unique chance to engage with both parliamentary and civil society initiatives aimed at enhancing democracy and facilitating a transition to a sustainable, wellbeing-focused society.


This position involves collaborating closely with Clive Lewis MP for three days a week, where you will assist in digital communication efforts for his climate initiatives, and dedicate two days to climate and democracy advocacy at Compass.


Recognizing the importance of bridging the gap between parliamentary actions and grassroots movements, this role is designed to strengthen our collective efforts and foster long-term alliances.


We seek an individual who is enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn, thriving in a dynamic team environment that encompasses both Compass and Clive's office.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing digital communication materials for climate justice initiatives, aimed at mobilizing support for a just transition and more ambitious climate action for Clive Lewis MP.
  • Enhancing Compass' campaigns with a strong emphasis on innovative digital communication strategies, social media engagement, and crafting compelling narratives about democratic collaboration.
  • Engaging and expanding our supporter network to maximize impact through email outreach, visual content, and social platforms.
  • Linking parliamentary efforts with grassroots activism, ensuring cohesive communication between activities and on-the-ground efforts.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in political campaigning, whether in non-profits, trade unions, political parties, student organizations, charities, NGOs, or grassroots movements.
  • Digital Campaign Communication: Experience in creating content for petitions, designing social media graphics, or developing email campaigns to drive event participation.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in campaign settings.
  • Familiarity with campaign mechanics and proficiency in digital tools, including email platforms, graphic design software, and social media.
  • Knowledge of HTML is advantageous.
  • Experience in empowering individuals to take action through effective communication and building supporter communities.
  • Skills in digital content creation and graphic design are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of the UK progressive political landscape and alignment with the goals and values of Clive Lewis MP and Compass.
