Job Overview

We are seeking an Accommodation Warden to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As an Accommodation Warden, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate accommodation-related services to ensure a safe and suitable environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide guidance on accommodation policies and facilities to patients and families.
  • Prepare guest bedrooms and communal areas for check-in and ensure equipment and resources are available to support patient care plans.
  • Work with in-house support services and contracted service providers to provide goods and services required to support business operations.
  • Set up rooms, handle and store luggage, and conduct audits to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data input, and monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and taking appropriate action.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills, a NVQ (Level 2) in housekeeping or equivalent experience, and the ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team, and remain calm under pressure. They will also have basic computer skills, knowledge of health and safety issues, and experience of dealing with complex telephone calls.
