Job Title: Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team in the West Midlands. As an OT, you will work closely with our care provider partners to deliver short-term support to individuals, with the goal of reducing their care needs and improving their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective therapy plans to support individuals in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with care agencies and carers to set up and implement therapy programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice.
  • Utilize your expertise in moving and handling to ensure safe and effective support for individuals.
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, prioritizing tasks and allocating time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including individuals, families, and care providers, to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a strong background in reablement and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent assessment and therapy planning skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals and stakeholders.
  • A valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, as travel is required for home visits and assessments.
