Job Title: Occupational Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team in the West Midlands. As an OT, you will work closely with our care provider to deliver short-term support to individuals, aiming to reduce their care needs and improve their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide guidance to individuals to achieve their goals
  • Develop and implement effective therapy programs in collaboration with care agencies and carers
  • Support and guide new staff members to ensure a smooth transition
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives
  • Manage a variable caseload, prioritizing tasks and allocating time efficiently
  • Travel to visit clients, conducting observational assessments and providing support as needed
  • Work flexibly, including early morning visits and occasional evening work

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a reablement or rehabilitation setting
  • Excellent assessment and guidance skills, with the ability to produce quick turnarounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with care agencies and carers
  • A valid driving license and access to a car
