Job Title: Adults Team Leader Adult Community Services

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adults Team Leader to join our Adult Community Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a small therapy team and providing specialized assessment, intervention, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy interventions.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Service Development and Evaluation: Develop, monitor, and evaluate the Therapy service alongside the AHP lead, ensuring a streamlined service for our service users.
  2. Team Supervision: Supervise and support a small team of Therapy staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  3. Clinical Practice: Hold a caseload of service users, providing specialized assessment, intervention, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy interventions, and working closely with the therapy services leadership team to ensure seamless services across the organization.
  4. Leadership and Development: Provide supervision and support to members of the Therapy Team, and support the development of AHP students, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, service users, and carers to promote and implement creative ways of working, and communicate complex information related to an individual's mental health needs.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience of working in both acute and community settings, as well as in adult and older adult settings, with a focus on dementia care.
  2. Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and facilitate training to staff and students, and provide advice, training, and support to other agencies.
  3. Knowledge: Specialist knowledge and training in Occupational Therapy, with the ability to conduct comprehensive OT assessments and adapt interventions as required.
