About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Penderels Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to an individual with a disability.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to the individual, including toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, and getting dressed.
  • Assist with cooking and meal preparation, and support the individual to eat and drink.
  • Support the individual to take medication, as required.
  • Encourage socialization and participation in activities, and promote independence.
  • Develop a good and trusting working relationship with the individual.
Requirements
  • Be honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and follow instructions accurately.
  • Be patient, supportive, and caring, with good listening skills and the ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals.
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
Training and Support

Successful candidates will be required to undertake any necessary training, including Moving and Handling and Epilepsy awareness. Training will be provided by Penderels Trust.

Transport Requirements

A car driver and owner with business insurance is required for this role.
