About The Role

As our Aviation Division continues to grow, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity within our team.

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Engineer to become a vital part of our Projects Team, primarily based from our offices.

In your role as an Engineer with Dyer & Butler, you will engage in a range of demanding Civil Engineering Projects.


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Measurement, setting out, levelling, and surveying of site activities
  • Supervision of workforce and subcontractors
  • Procurement and management of materials and equipment
  • Health and safety oversight
  • Quality control
  • Preparation of method statements and risk assessments
  • Verification of plans, drawings, and quantities for calculation accuracy
  • Documentation, record keeping, and reporting in line with Dyer & Butler and client protocols

Client Liaison:
In this role, you will interact with clients to ensure project requirements are met.

About You:
You should have a background in Civil Engineering, holding at least an HNC in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Experience as a Site Engineer with a comparable contractor is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in precise measurement, setting out, levelling, and surveying of various site works is essential.

Excellent communication and people management skills are crucial, along with the motivation and enthusiasm to drive a project to successful completion, adhering to budget and timelines.

Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure while collaborating within a team are necessary.

The ideal candidate should reside locally and be willing to work on projects within the surrounding area.

Qualifications
  • Formal qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental protection
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driving license
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the construction sector is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Safety/Environmental Legislation is preferable
