Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulator Engineer to join our team at First People Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of Rotary Wing Flight Simulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on Simulator systems, adhering to relevant regulations and OEM guidelines.
  2. Daily Readiness Checks: Conduct daily readiness, preflight, and after-flight checks to ensure the simulators are in optimal working condition.
  3. System Control: Manage the systems required to run the simulators, ensuring seamless operation.
  4. Compliance and Documentation: Maintain compliance with maintenance and procedure manuals, and update simulator data, ground station data, host loads, and visual databases as required.
  5. Recording and Reporting: Understand and implement simulator recording and reporting processes, and run qualification test guides (QTGs).
  6. Manual Updates: Update simulator maintenance and procedures manuals as necessary.
  7. Fault Reporting: Report unserviceability and faults, and plan the repair of reported faults.
  8. Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, aviation authorities, and OEM representatives.
  9. Quality Standards: Comply with quality standards required by Bristow Helicopters Ltd.
  10. Design Procedures: Comply with design procedures as set out in company handbooks and agreements with third parties.
Requirements:
  1. Computer Literacy: Possess advanced Windows application knowledge.
  2. Schematic Drawings: Knowledge of schematic drawings would be an advantage.
  3. Electrical and Electronics: Basic knowledge of electrical, electronics, and pneumatic systems.
  4. Fault-Finding: Understanding of fault-finding principles and corrective measures techniques.
  5. Database Programming: Knowledge of database programming, computer networks, and input techniques.
  6. Customer Support: Experience in a customer support or client-facing role is an advantage.
  7. Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  8. Operational Experience: Operational experience desirable.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Aircraft/Avionics Discipline: HNC/HND in aircraft/avionics related discipline.
  2. Electrical and Electronic Engineering: HNC/HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  3. Information Technology/Computing: HNC/HND in Information Technology/Computing.
