ROLE OVERVIEW

At Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a premier global management consulting firm, we are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our Partner Services Group (PSG). This role is crucial in supporting our Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs) through comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.

The PSG integrates finance and human resources to optimize the partnership framework and manage compensation and equity programs for MDPs globally. As a Finance Analyst, you will delve into the intricacies of MDP incentives and compensation, collaborating closely with various finance functions including Tax, Treasury, and Global Accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and analyze financial models to uncover trends and discrepancies, utilizing extensive data sets and statistical methodologies.
  • Generate and monitor financial estimates for MDPs, considering diverse geographical and currency factors.
  • Manage MDP lifecycle events, ensuring accurate application of compensation and equity implications in financial models.
  • Review and execute Excel models and visualizations to deliver insights into compensation structures, aiding senior management decisions.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations that reflect the impact of compensation and equity transactions across various regions.
  • Guarantee the precision of MDP scenario projections, adhering to specific program parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overarching business goals.
  • Effectively manage projects, ensuring timely updates and maintenance of documentation and analyses.
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
  • Work with teams to enhance data management and security using tools like Alteryx and Microsoft Automate.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to refine internal processes and products.
  • Design reports, dashboards, and metrics utilizing Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Streamline operational processes and improve reporting through best practices in data visualization.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a collaborative spirit and a knack for navigating complex challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in data manipulation.
  • Fundamental understanding of finance and economics principles.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Experience with data visualization and automation tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
COLLABORATION

This position is part of the PSG Analytics & MDP Support team, working closely with the Compensation & Equity team and other PSG sub-functions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, contributing to a diverse team that operates across multiple regions.
