About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Building Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building's mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems, using your expertise and experience to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation of work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with the building manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring that all systems are properly maintained and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a mechanical engineer or building maintenance specialist.
  • FGas Certificate and knowledge of LTHW heating systems, Air Compressors, Gas Fired Boilers, Steam Boilers, Water Treatment, Cooling Towers, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH and Legionella Awareness.
