About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Building Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building's mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems, using your expertise and knowledge of LTHW heating systems, Air Compressors, Gas Fired Boilers, Steam Boilers, Water Treatment, Cooling Towers, etc.
  • Supervise specialist subcontractors and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including documentation and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with building managers and other stakeholders to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • FGas Certificate
  • Experienced fault finding skills in LTHW heating systems, Air Compressors, Gas Fired Boilers, Steam Boilers, Water Treatment, Cooling Towers, etc
  • L8 ACOP
  • Legionella Awareness
  • Excellent communications skills with all levels of the workforce
  • Electrical Knowledge
  • The ability to work within a customer-focused environment where brand image is very important
  • Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Customer Liaison skills
  • COSHH Awareness
