About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Brand and Marketing Director to lead our brand, marketing, and digital teams at Chester Zoo. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive brand and marketing strategy that drives business growth and enhances our reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a brand strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead the marketing and digital teams to deliver high-impact campaigns that engage and inspire our audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing plans that drive business growth and revenue.
  • Manage and optimize our digital channels, including social media, email, and website, to maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, influencers, and partners.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Manage and lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to measure marketing effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in brand and marketing leadership, preferably in a visitor attraction or not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of marketing professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including social media, email, and website management.
  • Strong understanding of brand and marketing principles, including brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
