Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Telesales Manager in leading, planning, and executing the domestic sales growth strategy.
  • Manage a dataset of lapsed customers to re-engage and promote additional services.
  • Expand and develop a new customer base in underrepresented areas.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are upheld.
  • Cultivate and maintain existing customer relationships in new regions.
  • Complete the apprenticeship training program with Learning Skills Partnership.
  • Adhere to Group Health & Safety policies and behaviors.
  • Support the Telesales Manager in driving the domestic sales growth strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of the domestic sales strategy to meet growth targets.
  • Engage with prospective and existing/lapsed customers to build relationships and secure new business.
  • Manage the sales pipeline of leads from various sources, including inbound calls.
  • Reduce customer cancellations by understanding reasons and acting in the best interests of both the company and the customer.
  • Cross-sell and upsell new products and services to both new and existing customers.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve sales and associated profit margins in line with expectations.
  • Log all customer interactions in the CRM system, including calls, emails, meetings, opportunities, quotes, and complaints.
  • Ensure individual and team sales targets are met.
  • Support the achievement of daily, monthly, and annual targets (calls, quotes, and sales).
  • Adhere to and exceed Key Performance Indicators (calls per hour, wrap time, calls answered).
  • Generate revenue above targeted parameters to ensure the role and business's growth and sustainability.
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Take full responsibility for delivering the Customer Charter.
  • Provide proactive customer care support that addresses customer needs and generates revenue opportunities.
  • Handle all customer complaint cases, ensuring issues are resolved in accordance with Group guidelines.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business.
  • Demonstrate and deliver exceptional service and professionalism to all customers.
  • Take a proactive and strategic approach to all activities.
  • Communicate clearly at all levels within the organization.
  • Manage time and activities efficiently to maximize output.
  • Complete the apprenticeship training program with Learning Skills Partnership.
  • Submit all coursework and assignments punctually.
  • Regularly update your apprenticeship assessor on your progress.
  • Apply knowledge gained from training to daily responsibilities.
  • Comply with the Group's compliance targets and behaviors.
  • Understand personal responsibilities under the Group's Health & Safety policy.
  • Understand personal responsibilities under the Group's environmental policy.
  • Act in a manner that ensures the safety of yourself and colleagues at all times.
  • Support the goal of zero incidents involving people and vehicles.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle telephone and email inquiries effectively.
  • Results-driven approach, focusing on outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and proactively propose ideas and solutions.
  • Demonstrates understanding through various verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Proficient IT skills, including experience with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Previous sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory; understanding the principles of selling is essential.
