Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Hepatologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our hepatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with liver and biliary disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct research and audits to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Supervise and train junior medical staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to departmental decision-making
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Eligibility for specialist registration with the General Medical Council
  • Experience in hepatology or a related field
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
