About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Hepatologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our hepatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level care to patients with liver disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Lead clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of our hepatology services, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.

Requirements

  • Full accreditation for higher specialist training or eligibility within 6 months.
  • Ability to apply sound clinical judgment to problems.
  • Post CCT fellowship in hepatology (desirable).
  • Understanding and interest in research.
  • Evidence of recent research and development activity (desirable).
